CELEBRATE C,OLDEN WEDDING.Mr. and Mrs. R. K. Erwin st their home in Aboite township, also of the tenth reunion of the Erwin i tiunily. the first having bceu held on the fortieth wedding anniversary of the host nnd hostess. Sir. and Mrs. Erwin Iirvo resided in Allen county almost their entire lives, both being racmbort of pioneer families, who settled here when Ibis aecl'mii of the country w.m a wilderness inhabited principally by Indians and wild animals. They liavo lived here continuously ever since their marriage and the greater part of those years have been spent in the home where they now reside. Mr. and Mrs. Erwin are the pa rente of nine children, eight of whom arc living. Tlmy also li«r« twenty-two grandchildren and three great grandchildren living. Mr. Envin' will soon have reached his eightieth year. In politics he has been a lifelong democrat. Mrs. Erwin recently pu6*ed her seventieth birthday.Resides the members of the family, many neighbors and friends gathered to assist them iu celebrating this anniversary. The bride’* tabic was beautiful in gold and white. In the center was n handsome wedding cuke. Above this table was suapended a floral bell. Extending from this bell were ribbons of gold to which were attached place irai'ds anil favors of tiny gold and white slippers. The other tables were also beautiful with u profusion of white peonies nnd daisies. The guests sat down to a sumptuous dinner ol all the good things of the season, after which oil retired to the kwn where, under the shade of the grand old apple trees an interesting program was rendered byWayne, one of the earliest acquaintance.* of the bride and groom: Or.
