Mr. and Mrs. C.H. FrankenfieldWEIRTON — Charles H. and Simone A. Frankenfield of Weirton marked their 70th anniversary with a surprise family and friend celebration held May 26 at St. Florian Hall in Wintersville.Frankenfield and the former Simone Hale were united in marriage on June 4,1943, with the Rev. Holt officiating at the Methodist church in LaPlata, Md.The son of the late Charles and Miriam Frankenfield, he is a World War II veteran of the Marine Corps and was employed by National Steel Corp. for 33 years before his retirement in 1980.The daughter of the late Frank and Simone Hale, she was employedat Weir High School as a secretary for 18 years before also retiring m 1980.They are the parents of three sons: Tim of Monroeville, Pa.; Terry of Follansbee; and Charles H. Ill, who is deceased.There are three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
