Creator .Creator ©f the artistic sea! of tf»e Madison County Sesqui-centenmal is Jack Parnell who is shown at his drawing board at Warner Press where he is assistant art director. The seal depicts the old courthouse that served Madison County from 1882 to 1972. Parnell is a graduate of John Herron School of Art of the Indiana University-Purdue University complex in Indianapolis. Parnell is a member of the Art Directors Club of Indiana, Art Society of Anderson, board member of the Madison County Urban League and has served as advisor for the Anderson Junior Achievementorganization. The Indianapolis native Is a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School in that city. He has served as art instructor at the Anderson Vocational School for the last three years. There he teaches drawing and painting. In addition he has taught art classes at the YWCA and Newman Frame Shop. Parnell has been employed at Warner Press for the past three years. He is serving on the public relations committee of the Sesquicentennial organization.
