Corsicana Couple Marks Golden Anniversary At Recent DinnerMr. and Mr*. T. S. Patrick of Corsicana were honored with a dinner at the Holiday Inn In Corpus Christ!, Sunday. May 29. i on the occasion of their fiftieth wedding anniversary, followed by a reception at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Jack C. Nichols.Hosts for the occasion were their children, O. L. Patrick and Mrs. Patrick of Houston; T. W. Patrick and Mrs. Patrick, Midland; Mrs. Millard Boyd and Mr. Boyd, San Antonio, and Mr. and Mrs. Nichols of Corpus Chrlatl.Mrs. Patrick will be remembered as the former Miss Vir-I gie Orrell of Glddings. The couple were married in Gid-dings, May 29. 1916. and moved to Corsicana in 1919. They 1 have made their home in this ' city since that time, with Mr. » Patrick being in the feed business until his retirement in . 1962.Among the other guests were .'Mrs. Billie Ward, Moxia, slater of Mrs. Patrick; and grandchildren, Mike Patrick. Schulenburg;WSCS Officers Training DayDAWSON (Spl—The Woman’s Society of Christian Service of the First Methodist church held Officer's Training Day in the home of Mrs. Sam Mohundro on Monday at 3 p.m.Mrs. Mohundro presided overthe meeting. Each officer was given a notebook, prepared by Mrs. Mohundro. containing information about the work of the society and giving details •about her particular line of work.She stressed the Importanceof attending all District and Conference meetings and urged members to take advantage of the School of Christian Missions each summer.Much valuable Information was gained «t the meeting which will help the officers and members of the society in their work.At the conclusion of the meeting the group enjoyed a | social hour with Mrs. Mohundro serving punch and cookies.MR.
