LUNCH ROOM, FRIDAYJames Drank us, well known throughout the city because of his ardent work before* during and after the war in Americanization activities, Liberty Loan and other patriotic drives, is going Into the restaurant business with Nicholas Pontos of Rockford, III., an experienced Coney Island man, in the building at S2S N. Eighth street formerly occupied by the New England shoo store. The place will beknown as the Royal Lunch and will be opened at 5 p. m. tomorrow.Five hundred carnations will be given away as long as they last, one to each customer. Short lunches will be served and Coney Island hot wieners win be featured. Soft drinks, ice cream and confectionery will also be sold. First class service is promised by the partners,Mr. Drankus has been a resident slot Sheboygan for twelve rears. He Is one of the most intensely patriotic citizens, having been an instructor in the evening school classes for foreigners In' the Fourth ward for five years. During the war he was a member of the local advisory board, assisting in filling out questional res and in registration for the draft. He was an enthusiastic worker in the Liberty Loan and other government drives. Mr. Drankus will be glad to have his n any friends cali on him in his new res-tau rant.Mr. Pontos arrived last night from Rockford, 111., where he has been conducting a Coney Island lunch room of which he and Mr. Drankus are part owners. They established the business there four years ago. Mr. Pontos is a capable restauranteur and an able partner for the local man.A few days after its opening theRoyal Lunch will specialize insomething entirely new In eatables.
