t'•SMrs. Julia Cherry, 70, resident of Seatonville for many years, died Thursday at 2 a. m, in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Simcox, following a six week’s illness.A native of California, England, she was born on August 28, 1869, and came to this country when a young women, settling first in Coal Hollowwhere she married John T. Cherry on May 4, 1893.The family resided in Seatonville, Standard and Granville for a time be*fore moving to Chicago for seven years. They returned to this community about eight years ago.Surviving are her husband and six children, John H., Hollowayville; Mrs.Pearl Ann Simcox, Seatonville; Mrs. Hazel Elizabeth Simcox, Michigan , Ind.; James William Cherry, Chicago; Mrs. Beatrice B. Russell, Cherry, and Ewart E. Cherry, Seatonville. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Louisa Fletcher, Seatonville, and Mrs, Polly Dudley, Kings Winford, England, and a brother, Joseph Smith, Coal Hollow. There are 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson, Robert Dixon.
