Mr. and Mrs. Alva Stokdyjc'of Oostburg, Mr, and Mrs, B. J* Wal-fort and two, sons of Cedar Grove, took supper with Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Wisselink last Friday evening.Fishermen were very plentiful here Sunday and some came many miles for the enjoyment and much complaint is being heard of trespassing on private property adjoining the mill pond which is regret-able especially when* property is willfully destroyed.A fine daughter was born to Mr-and Mrs. Arthur Meerdink, residing three miles east of the village on Sunday.Mt. and Mrs. Dfedrich of Kiel, attended the auction sale of F. E. Putney here last Thursday.Mrs. L. H. Baldwin was given a pleasant surprise Monday afternoon by a number of her lady friends in, honor of her birthday anniversary and an enjoyable time was had and all joined in wishing her many more happy anniversaries,Mr. and Mrs. Henry Voskull and Chuidren called on his father, Christ Voskuil at Gibbsville, Sunday afternoon as he had been very seriously ill for a couple of weeks but were much pleased to find be had bees relieved and is comfortable and gradually improving now.Mr. and Mrs. Henry Soerens and children of Oostburg spent Mem-oral day with her parents, Mr. and Mrs O W DellAs Mr. and Mrs. Garret Brusse resided for many years on af ram here one mile 'northeast of our village and still have many acquaintances and relatives here we copy the following from “Tho Baldwin Bulletin, of St. Croiux County, Wisconsin, which will be of interest to many in this county.50th Wedding AnniversaryMr. and Mrs. G, Brusse celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary at tehir home in this village, Wednesday, May 21, at which time they entertained their brothers and sisters and their children, making in all about fifty present. A sumptuous wedding dinner was served at six o'clock and the occasion was a very enjoyable one in every way.This estimable couple was married at Gibbsville, May 21, 1873, an dresided in Sheboygan county until 1900, when, they moved here the village, where they have since resided. He sold his farm six years ago and retired from farming at that time, Their five children: Mrs. George H. Heebink, and John of this place, Mrs. Herman Wessete of Woortville, Mrs. Egbert Heebink of Beloit, and Will Brusse of Nashville Tenn,. were all present to participate in the festivities.Those present from out-of-town besides the above were: Mr. and Mrs. Nick Brusse of Oostburg, John Tenpas of Hingham, Mr. and Mrs. William Hyink of Milwaukee and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kappers of Eau Claire. Their many friends andrelatives wish this venerable old couple many more years of happy married life.Huibregste Dirkse paid an average, of $1.29 per hundred for milk delivened to their cheese factory here during the month of April,F. E Putney who has been finishing up his affairs here left Tuesday 'raocrnAng- for Hartford, Michigan, where he will join his wife and daughter and sp^nd a few days with their sons- Stanley and Louis and then continue on‘their trip for their new home at Anaheim, California. Their household goods were shipped for there from Sheboygan last week. Their friends here join in wishing them suee'ess and happiness in their new home in the sunny land.Mr. and Mrs, C. M. Pierce pleasantly entertained Mr. and Mrs. L. H Baldwin and Mrs. Julia Keller and Mr. and Mrs. G. W.-Wisselink-and daughter Evelyn at a six o'clock dinner last Sunday evening.Mr. and Mrs,'Walter Buske and daughter of West 'Allis, Wisconsin spent from Friday until Sunday here with her mother, Mrs. Lydia Pierce.Mr. and Mrs, Philo Dean and daughter of Milwaukee spent Sunday here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Pierce.Mr, and Mrs. W. H. Eldridge and daughter and Mrs. W. H. Hyatt of Plymouth called on Mr. and Mrs. L. H.
