Mr. and Mrs. Fred WoodrlckWoodricks celebrate golden anniversaryHERKIMER — Mr. and Mrs. Fred Woodrick of 339 E. German St. celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a party given by their daughters May 23 at Cherry’s Restaurant.Mr. Woodrick and the former Mary Casler were married May 30,1943 — during World War II — in Assumption Church in Florence, Ariz. The Rev. Joseph Jaques performed the ceremony and Jack Neil and Henrietta Heilman served as honor attendants.Mr. Woodrick worked as a service representative for Remington Arms Co., retiring in November 1982. He is a trustee for Oak Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Woodrick retired as secretary to theHerkimer High School principal in June 1970.They have two daughters, Karen Risley of Yorktown Heights, NY and Janet Allison of Mohawk; and five grandchildren, Suzanne andJennifer Risley and Stacey, Sara and Donald Allison.The Woodricks spend summers in Herkimer and winters in Clearwater, Fla.
