Tiie Central Witemnn says that evidences of the ancient race of Mound-builders have Wen found at Wausau. The well-known mound on Dr. Wylie’s lot has been partially removed, and from the vj/o of the lames unearthed that can be distinguished the- persons must have been of almost gigantic si/.c. From the position they occupied the burial must have been in a fitting posture. Their antiquity is argued from the fact that the roots of large trees have penetrated the mound.
