Elinor Cole McGeeElinor Cole McGee, 84, died May 28 at her home in Placerville She was born July 4. 1912 at the Old Placerville Sanatorium. Mrs. McGee is the last of the Coles, a well-know El Dorado County pioneer family. She spent her early life at Cole's Station near Grizzly Rat, with parents, uncles and grandparents All of Mrs McGee's forebears were California and El Dorado County pioneers; Cole and Christian. Wiltsc and Carpenter, frequent names in the history of Placerville and El Dorado County. Both greatgrandfathers were justices of the peace, one in Diamond Springs, one near Cole’s Station. Cole-Christian descendants ol Mrs. McGee's generation came to include Lyon.
