BickelClaude and Helen Bickel of Bea-verdale Heights, West Burlington, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary May 27 with a family dinner at Olde Melcher Inn.Claude Bickel and Helen James were married May 27, 1955, at Bloomfield Chnstian Church by the Rev. Fred Sawyer.They have three children: Essie Garrett-Reida of Solon, and Jim Bickel and Gene Bickel of Burlington. They also have five grandchildren, Heather and Carl Garrett and Mylissa, Nikole and Tommy Bickel.
