Dinner honors Fromans' 50th anniversary hereMr. and Mrs. Guy W. Froman celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary May 27 with a family dinner at the Townsman Restaurant. Hosted by their children, the dinner was attended by 46 relatives and friends.Mr. and Mrs. Froman were married May 18.1928, in Kansas City, Mo. She is the former Gertrude Helm of Miami.Froman played professional baseball during their early married years, until 1932. He was Chief of the Peoria IndianTribe from 1947 to 1972. He retired from Eagle-Picher Mining and Smelting Company in 1967. Mrs. Froman worked at Northeastern AM in the library until retirement in 1976.Attending were the couple’s seven children and families: Mrs. Elizabeth Hargrove, Tulsa: Bill Froman, Mineral Wells, Tex.; Robert Froman, Broken Arrow; John Eddie Froman, Miami; David Froman, New York City: Don Froman.
