Mullens Couple Observes50th Wedding AnniversaryMULLENS. June 3 (RNS) -Hard work, a full measure of patience. and an abounding faith in God are key factors to a happy and successful marriage.This has been the philosophy followed by Mr. and Mrs. Harry M. Wyatt of Mullens down through the years. And the Wyatts sneak from long experience. They have just observed their 50th wedding anniversary.Both are lifelong residents of Wyoming County. They were married May 28. 1908, at Baileysville, by the Rev. W. H. H. Cook, the pioneer Wyoming County settler, soldier, statesman and minister whose monument now stands on the courthouse square at Pine-ville. Mrs. Wvatt is the former Jeanette (Jenny) WTalker, daughter of the late David and Emma Walker.Wyatt recalls that he began w’ork as a young man along side more seasoned woodsmen, harvesting Wyoming County's virgin crop oftimber at a starting wage of Si.25 a day. The family income was supplemented by farming.In the course of years, he and his wife became parents of 11 children, 10 of whom are living. The family has now been increased by 21 grandchildren.For convenience, the Wyatts delayed observing their Golden Anniversary until Sunday, when their children could be home. Sunday’s family gathering at the Wyatt home on Parsons Drive. Mullens Hill, coincided with the first wedding anniversary of their oldest grandson and his wife. Mr. and Mrs. Duane Wyatt, of Mullens.The Wyatts are active members of the Sweet Home Baptist Church near Maben. Their children are: Abe of Mullens, Lacy of Pineville, Pierce of Albuquerque, N. M., Mrs. Lon Kirk of Corinne, Mns. Kermit Cook of Mullens, Mrs. John Canada of Mullens. Mrs. Fred Cook of Lvnco, Harry Wyatt Jr., of Berkley, Greeley of Mullens, and Mrs. Robert Whitt of Mullens.Friends calling on the Wyatts Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. George Nolley, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Staats. Mr. and Mrs. Joe W’hitt, Mr. and Mrs. B. J.
