R. 5, will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary Sunday, June 8, at their home with an open house from 1 to 4 p. m. All friends and relatives are invited to attend.Mr. and Mrs. Gillam were married Juno 7, 1902 at the home of the bride’s parents. Michael and Sarah Keating of Young America. The Rev. Oscar Wells performed the ceremony. All their marriedspent in and nearlife ha,s been Kokomo.For 35 years Mr. Gillam was employed by the Continental Steel Corporation, retiring in November 1946. Their home is the first house east of the Haynes marker.Three sons were born to Mr. and Mrs. Gillam, Elgie who is employed at tho Continental Steel Mill, Burrell who is in business in Indianapolis and Otis who died at the age of 18 years.
