BLACK AND CLARENCE E.CARTY WEDPretty Wedding Ceremony Solemnized in Baltimore Saturday Afternoon,A wedding of much interest in this city took place Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock in Guilford, Baltimore, when Mrs. Dorothy Rlordan Black, of Baltimore, -and Clarence Eflwin Carty. also of Baltimore, and son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Edwin Carty. this city, were married by Rev. Thomas Hardy, of Roland Park.The ceremony, which was a pretty but quiet one, was solemnized at the residence of ■ the bride's mother, Mrs. Florence Riordan. where beautiful decorations of palms and pink roses were used as a background for the wedding- »The bride was given in marriage by her brother. George J. Rlordan. Jr.. of Baltimore, and was gowned in changeable pink taffeta and large picture hat. She carried bride’s roses. The matron of honor was Mrs. iames Stewart Cottman, of Baltimore, who wore a gown of orchid lace with large picture hat and carried snapdragons. The bridesmaid was Miss Maud Damest, Baltimore, she being gowned fn rose taffeta wtlh large bat and her flowers also being snapdragons. The best man was D. Marshall Shroe-der. of Baltimore, formerly of this city.A luncheon was served at the residence of the bride's mother. After the nuptials the couple left on a motor trip through the southern states. The bride is popular among the younger set in Baltimore, and the groom 5s engaged in harness with the G. J. Valiant Furniture Company, that city. After June 15.
