The public is invitee).The climax of the jubilee cele-bration will be on Monday, .June 115, when the priests of the Diocese will join Father Schumacher at the anniversary mass. Father Schumacher’s relatives and special invited guests will also join in this celebration. A special boy’s choir of 38 members will sing during the mass.Father Schumacher will be assisted by the following, at this mass: Father Stephen Freund, of Millstadt, deacon; Father Harry-Schumacher, a nephew, from St. Mary’s church, Belleville, ' as deacon; and Eugene Kreher. a student for the priesthood and a native of the parish will act as master of ceremonies. Two other students from the parish, Waynein the Diocese of Belleville, was to be appointed assistant at St. Patrick's }n E. St. Louis, on June 24, 1936. On August 27, 1936, Father Schumacher was named as an assistant to the Cathedral in Belleville. On August 24, 1939 he was appointed assistant to Father Taggart, at St. Andrews* Murphysboro, 111.* Father Schumacher was named pastor for the first time on Dec. 18, 1940,* serving Equality, and the missions of Stonefort, New Burnside, Cienna and Metropolis.From this vantage point, he served as chaplain to the CCC Veteran Camps, almost from the Ohio, to the Mississippi Rivers and’ also for a time was chaplain to several camps where German. war prisoners were living until ’ relieved by a German speaking Benedictine father.On April 26, 1945, he was named pastor t)f St. Lawrence church*at Sandoval. On Jan. 27, 1955, he -was appointed chaplain of St.Clement’s Hospital, Red Bud, and also assigned to care for the parish at Tipton, 111.On August 23, 1956, Father Schumacher was appointed administrator pastor, of St. John’s,YVuebbels, and Gary Coy, will Piopolis, where the jubilee will serve the mass.
