Gardner celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary. Yesterday their five children and seven grandchildren helped them mark off three score years of marriage.The family gathered at the home of a daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Healy. with whom the Gardners reside, on the Goshen State road near Bates Gates.Mr. Gardner, a former boiler maker In the Ontario Western Rail- I road shops, and now seventy-nine, was married to Ida M. Stewart, now seventy-six. on June second.1S36. at Rxdgebury- The Rev. O, T.Crandall performed the ceremony.The couple made their home at Gardnertown for about seventeen years, then moved to Middletown. They continued to reside here until fifteen years ago when they moved to the Healy home.Both Mr. and Mrs. Gardner continue active and are interested in the affairs of the day. They had a lively part In yesterday's get-together.Other daughters present besides Mrs. Healy. together with theirhusbands, were Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Carey. 229 Highland avenue, Middletown: Mr. and Mrs.Alfred E. Holly, 174 Linden avenue, Middletown; Mr. and Mrs. John Sloat. Garfield, N. J., and Mr. and Mrs. William Walker. Clifton, N. J.There were two more grandchildren present than at the Golden Wedding celebration in 1936, both bom since then. They were George S. and Robert G. Healy, brothers of Gardner Healy. Other grandchildren present were Kenneth and Donald Holly of Middletown and Clinton Korn and Dorothy Walker, Clifton. N.
