Many beautiful , i flowers of yellow roses, peonies, snow j balls, etc. A very pretty, largo and most excellent birthday cako of .gold and 'i while with tho year of their marriage, j 1.87'!,, in pink icing was made by Mrs. I Clair Cochran of Carlton, a nieco of I Mir, and Mrs, Urey, who is an export in cako making and in tho culinary art. 'j A bountiful and excellent dinner was ' served at noon with delicious ice cream, ■i cuke and watermolon for desert, after I which Hon. J. W, Canon, a brother of 1, Mrs. Urey, made a very, amusing, interesting and appropriate speech inI which tie paid protty tribute to tho j bride and groom of 50 years for their■ many years of prosperous and useful 1J married life and said their success wasII due to tho I'nct that they obeyed tho j i golden rule and dorio unto others as a • they would have others do to them. Mr.! and Mrs. Urey were presented with a l. nIce sunt of handsome gold pieces.I Some excellent music was furnished by Mrs.. Dr. P. D. Urey of How Castle, Roltln Canon and others.
