Me was born in Steubenville and always resided here. During the Civil War he wascook on United States gunboats. For years lie followed shocmaking and for several years he served as a ward assessor*Me was married 40 years ago to Clara Whitehead, /who survives with the following children: Mrs' JohnMrs. Alfred Elliott, Mrs. John Culbertson, Lafayette, Jr., Chas, and Edward, of Steubenville, and Mrs. Jas. Tucker, of North Vernon, Tnd.Mr. Htikiil was identified with Mainline M. E. Church. He was a devoted husband and father and a respected citizen.
