COUNCIL IN SESSION.Interesting Meeting Held Last Night. — All Mem hers Present.The regular monthly meeting of the borough council was held laet night with all mem bora present, After the reading and Approval of I he minutes of the previous meeting, several letters and petitions were read by Clerk McMahan. The Federal Telephone company submitted « list of pole* owned by that corporation in the borough and asked that a settlement be made at the rate ol 50c per pole. Tim borough ordinance provides for SI.00 pet pole and council refused to accept the proposition of the company and iiiHtiuct-4*1 the solicitor to proceed to collect the amount stipulated in the ordinance. On motion of Bnmbaugh seconded by Scott it was referred to the ordinance com mittee for a r^poi t at the next meeting oi council.An ordinance wan read providing for a license of one and two dollars each cu dogs kept within the borough limit# atid authorizing the police or constables to shoot all dugs running at laigo without collars containing the name ol tne Owner and the number of the Licensee issued.
