5 Cops Begin38th YearDeputy Police Chief Harold Shea and four other officers today began their 38th year with the Syracuse police force.Shea, Sgls. Frank Lesicki and William Richards, Capt. Anthony Zrcbiee and Policeman Lester Burgmeier were among 54 men who joined the force June 1, 1927. Burgmeier, Rich-ards and Zrcbiec are currently on sick leave.Officers with longer service are Policeman John O’Connor, who is assigned to the police receiving room, and Policeman Bernard Krick and Sgt. Eugene Sweeney of the Traffic Division.
