Celebrate 50 th Wedding AnniversaryApproximately 80 friends and relatives of Mr. and Mrs. William Stantz of Navarre gathered Sunday afternoon from 2 to 5 to extend their best wishes to the couple on their golden wedding annivers-ary. .A family dinner was served at noon with covers being laid for 21. The table and the Stantz residence were appointed with goldmums and rosebuds, gifts from the Pythian Sisters and the Knights of Pythias to which the couple belong and the neighbors. Mr. Stantz is a charter member of the Knights of Pythias.The refreshment table at the open house was appointed with a three tiered eake decorated with gold rosebuds. Mrs. Stantz was presented with a rose corsage from her family and Mr. Stantz, a boutonniere. The couple also received wrist watches from their family as well as many congratulatory cards, gifts and a sum of money. Mrs. Stantz’ daughters assisted, al the reception, table.Guests were present from Mt. Vernon, New Bedford, Canton, Massillon, Justus, and Navarre.The couple were married by the late Rev. D. R. Raiser at the -residence of Mrs. Stantz5 parents in New Bedford, They 'are members of St, Paul’s Evangelical and Reformed church of Navarre.The couple has three children, one son, Harry Stantz of Canton, and two daughters, Mrs. A. Viola Miller of Louisville and Mrs. Alice Cronk, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.o—o—o
