Class Of 1918 ObservesIts Golden -’ BLOOMING DALE—The graduating dais of 1918 celebratedits 50th anniversary, July 21, at the V.F.W. Hall with 23 present, Mrs. Jay Holmes presented the class. Included in the bookwere the teaching staff of 1917-18, Supt. Ross, W. Mayer, Miss Cynthia Vaughn, Miss Ola Hartshorn and Cecil Plum and a picture of the 1967 reunion. The class roll of 1968 was also included with facts concerning members and present addresses.Mr.and Mrs. Charles Pease, of Bloor^ingdale and Englewood,Fla.# were present. He gave the the 1918 Baccalaureate service as he had recently moved to Blooming dale as pastor of the Christian Church. The Baccalaureate service and graduationwere held in the s'kating rink that year. Cecil Plum and Mrs, Plum recalled some experiencesof the class.A golden anniversary cake was made by Mrs. Lee Dean. Roll call was “Memories’*. Each member brought pictures, programs, diplomas autograph,and scrap books for viewing.Attending were Mrs. (Etta Cooper) Howard Cooper, Mrs.‘Harold J. (Fern Munn) Fox,Mrs. Charles (Bernice Hutchinson) Rodeback, Mrs. Curney (Leta Hambley) Morgan, Mrs. Jay (Dorothy Meeker) Holmes, Mrs. Dee R.f (Myrtle Beals) Scott, Vernon Cooley, Mrs. Lee (Ireta Shaw) Dean, Orton Simons, and Mrs. (Hattie Hambley)Farrington.Committee for the 1969 reunion is Orton Simons, Mt. Pleasant, chairman; Mrs. Morgan, Paw Paw, treasurer, and Mrs. Farrington, South Bend, secretary. It will be held July 16 with dinner served by the Christian Church women in Fellowship Hall and the afternoon spent at the cottage of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Fox, Sr., Saddle Lake.
