TO HUNT SUNKEN TREASURE.Memphis, Tenn., July 27.—Capt. 0. T Greenwood, United States inspector of boilers, plans to head a party which late’ in the year will begin a search for $13,-000 in gold supposed to have been in the safe of the Sultana when that boat was blown up just after the close of the civi] war. Nearly all of the 2,000 troops on board and the crew were drowned.A portion of the boat is said to be visible near Mound City, opposite thf channel of the river at the time of the explosion and a divining rod will be used as the main instrument of the search, says Captain Greenwood.
