Sheldon of North Petersburg, formerly of Hooslck Falls, were recently entertained by relatives and friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. AllenGutermuth Sr. In observance of thetr goldenwedding anniversary. —Mrs. Sheldon Is the former Helen Ayers of West Rupert, Vt. and she married Mr. Sheldon there July 10, 1918. She Is regent of Hoosac-Walloomsac Chapter, DAR and has been teller for many years at the National Congress sessions of that organization in Washington, D.C. She Is also a past matron of Berkshire Star Chapter, OES of Petersburg and a member of the Philathea Society of the First Baptist Church, Hooslck Falls. As a member of the Philatheas she has served on the committees to prepare and serve the Klwanis club luncheons.Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon moved to Hooslck Falls from Vermont In 1921 and purchased the former Walter A. Wood farm, which Is now operated by J. E. Calhoun Sons. About 20 years they moved to North Petersburg, where they operated a 700 acre farm near the state line at North Pownal, Vt.The area couple sold the farm a couple of years ago, but still spend the.r summers there and the winters in Hollywood, Fla. Mr. Sheldon Is a World I veteran.They have three daughters and two sons, and 12 grandchildren, who shared In the party. These included Mrs. Cora Guthermuth of Berlin; Mrs. Marie Hlne of North Petersburg and Mrs. Ann Adrlance of Berlin and Rockport, Mass.; Robert Sheldon of New Paltz and Frank of Petersburg.
