MR. CARL HAGENOWWho Celebrated His 80th. Birthday July 23, 1909.Mr. Carl Hagenow was born in .Mecklenburg, Germany, July 23, 1829, and came to America in 1856. Hisson Carl, with whom he is spending0the summer, invited about fifteen of his father's aged friends to his home Sunday to celebrate the old gentleman's 80th birthday. It was a happy occasion. Mr. Hagenow, whose picture we publish herewith, is a clean old gentleman with bright intellect and correct habits. He reads the papers and keeps posted on events. Since the death of his wife several years ago he has spent most of his time with his children in Iowa. He is a fine man, looks like a doctor, professor or minister.
