Demos Heed as celebrant. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery.Mrs. Depperschmidt died Tuesday, July 28.1998, atGarden Valley Retirement Village.She was born Oct. 16,1908, at Tipton, the daughter of Matthew and Pauline (Schlentz) Schadegg. She gradu ated from Olpe High School and attended St. Francis Nursing School and Emporia Beauty School.A resident of Olpe. Emporia and Madison before moving to Garden City in 1958. she was a beautician forseveral area beauty shops.Mrs. Depperschmidt was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church. Daughters of Isabella, Altar Society and VFW Auxiliary and was past president of Eagles Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling and traveling.On March 30, 1959, she married HenryDepperschmidt at Garden City. He survives.Other survivors are a son, Norman Schaefer. Wichita; a daughter. Rita Lancaster, Kinsley; three grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by eight brothers and two sisters.Visitation hours are until 7 tonight at Garnand Funeral Home. Memorials are to St. Dominic Endowment Fund or Edwards County Health Care Foundation, both in care of the funeral home.
