They’re full of those mystical sounds you hear that you can’t quite identify. The small figures will be playing instruments, smiling, carrying rainbows. An abundance of light, of life activity.will glimmer and shine.”Even as he is in the process of completing this mural, Bowe is supervising a five-person team in creating another public art project. This one, on the wall of the Catholic Shop at the comer of Butternut and State streets, will be 42 feet high by 92 feet long and will be easily seen from Interstate 81. Commemorating the assassinated Salvadoran Archbishop Oscar Romero, the mural will celebrate the theme of one-world awareness. Support for the project has come from the Catholic Church, from area businesses and from private individuals. ■
