J. W. Ellison Dias J. Wilbur Ellison, 58, of Wood River died Thursday at the Alton Memorial hospital. He was a retired Shell Oil Co, employee and former assistant manager of the cracking department.Mr. Ellison was the son of Charles and Helen Inez McKee Ellison, born Aug 3, 1894 at Emmet-burg, la., He came with his parents to Marine w 1895 and later moved to Alton.He attended Alton high school and entered the armed forces of World War I.He was retited June 1953 after 30 years of seivtee with Shell Oil Co.He is survived by his wife, Mrs Alma Piolt Ellison; two daughters Mrs. Helen Mize and Mis. Mary OH; one son James M , all of Wood River, a brothei, C C. Ellison, and one sislei, Mrs Maiy Smith of AltonFuneral seivices weie held Satin day at 2 30 o'clock in Wood Riv- 9,1 er and interment in Upper Alton E\ cemetery. i
