Fifty-Fifth Wedding AnniversaryA very pleasing event took p ace Sunday evening. July 25, on the occasion of the fifty-fifth wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hales, old-timers ofRapid City.Some sixty relatives and friends gathered at the home of their youngest son. Fred, to shower congratulations and gifts on the honor guests. An informal out-door banquet was thoroughly enjoyed by the entire party, and the hostesses. Mrs. VV E Hales and Mrs. Fred Hales, had many willing assistants.In the evening a presentation was made by W, E Hales on be-half of the family with suitable felicitations to their parent., andthe singing of “They are jolly good fellows closed the celebration of another milestone in the long-wedded life of this esteemed couple.Those attending were: Mr.and Mrs. L. Trott and famiiy, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Hales and family, John H. Hales. Mrs. C. Walker and family, Mr. and Mrs. I). Struthers and family, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Hales and Billy, Mr, and Mrs. Cecil Trott, Mr.and Mrs. John Walker; also, of Forrest, Mr, and Mrs E. T Hales, Mr. and Mrs. Roht C-or-nish and family. Mr. and Mrs. Shelvey ami family: of Brandon, Mr. and Mrs. A. Veale and family. Wilfrid Tucker: of Justice district. Miss Irene Curie, and Fred Pawe and Frank Constable.
