July 25, on the occasion of the fifty-fifth wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hales, old-timers ofRapid City.Some sixty relatives and friends gathered at the home of their youngest son. Fred, to shower congratulations and gifts on the honor guests. An informal out-door banquet was thoroughly enjoyed by the entire party, and the hostesses. Mrs. VV E Hales and Mrs. Fred Hales, had many willing assistants.In the evening a presentation was made by W, E Hales on be-half of the family with suitable felicitations to their parent., andthe singing of “They are jolly good fellows closed the celebration of another milestone in the long-wedded life of this esteemed couple.Those attending were: Mr.and Mrs. L.
