A Girl Scout from the Philippines, Lavinia Corpuz, is visiting in Dauphin prior to attending the International Guide Camp at Cape Breton from July 21 to Aug. 3.Lavinia is a guest at David Hill’s home for this week. She has met the Rangers and Guides and toured the Riding Mountain National Park.Doreen Hill and Brenda MacDonald will be accompanying Lavinia to the International Camp.Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Kowalchuk celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary July 15th with a surprise supper at the LaVerendrye with their children.Then followed a surprise get-together at their home with friends and relatives and neighbors, where the children presented their parents with a $1,000 bill, Ukr.
