I. .We’re having a heat wave!! . . .The humidity has gone above ana’oeyond the call of duty, and Straws cannot honestly give an award for this kind of carrying on!! Like the beautiful 25th weddingreception that was given for Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Hicks, Sr. ofWyoming, by their daughter, Sandra and son, Phillip Jr., at Fellowship Hall Bethel AME Church. The happy pair were the recipients of many, many elegant gifts of silver, and a day to be remembered through life-time. We wish you many, many more happy years of togetherness. The very same wishes we extend to the Robert Porters of Eaton Avenue, and make it number 26, for it was last year when their 25th wedding celebration took place . .. Tiny Bell Sutton, is busy, busy getting ready for her pre-opening of her dress shop, and the name goes like this; Tiny Bell Sutton’s House of Fashion, location 2039 Madison Road. Preopening dates are July 27 -through August 3, 10:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m. daily. She tells us that her summer clearance is where the action is . . .Grand opening will be on or about August 17, . .Wish you heap Good Luck!! . . . Other busy people have been Dr. and Mrs. B. F. Cann, traveling, that is, and will do more of the same ... . .Last month it was Chicopee Falls, Mass., where she went to be with Dr. Braxton Cann Jr. and family and saw the new addition who was only a few days old. Their son, Braxton, is a captain in the Air Force and isstationed at westover, Mass., from there she was joined by her spouse where (she’s the pretty daughter of Connie Cann Williams, where they both reside in Bermuda). Conchitawas graduated from Wagner College of Staton Island, New York, returning home it was a repack to the West Coast where she attended the National Link Inc., convention in Berkley-Oakland, California, and while on the west coast, the Simpkins family (Reba’s maiden name) had one of those wonderful family reunions where she met more of her family. Of course saw Ruth, her daughter who is teaching in L.A... .Come next month the two will be off again to the wedding of Conchita in Bermuda, which Straws will tell you about later. .. .You have heard Straws speak of Jesse Cheatham, well, he came back of his vacation pleased heap much. He first visited with family and friends of Cleveland, Ohio. Had a marvelous time with them. From there, Jesse goes to Washington, D.
