WALNUT.Mrs. John Meisenheimer and children Gordon and Beth are visiting friends in La Salle.Bobby Langford has the foundation completed for his new house opposite the one he now occupies, which was purchased by Nel Walrath.Miss Caryl Meisenheimer is visiting her cousin Miss Florence Seaton at Peru.Mr. Splain attended the funeral of Harry Heaton near Princeton Thursday.Mrs. Cary received a visit from her brother-in-law Monday.Mr. and Mrs. Eli White celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Saturday. About eighty invitations had been sent out, and at one o’clock the guests sat down to bountifully fil1-ed tables. Rev. De Vol was toast master and a number of the guests responded. Mr. and Mrs. White received many beautiful presents, among them being one hundred yellow roses, seventy-five dollars in gold, a gold clock, brooch, grand army pin, celery and bon bon dish, and numerous other articles. A very enjoyable time was spent and the guests departed wishing Aunt Mary and Uncle Eli all sorts of good luck.
