B.C. on their 25th wedding anniversary.The lively orchestra, the Just 3”, played the “Ole Wedding March to welcome the couple.The couple's wedding attendants of 25 years back met them at the door when one of the bridesmaids, namely Mrs Anne Mem-ryk pinned on a corsage of pink roses for the bride which complemented her formal gown of blue and white brocade. The groom was presented with a white boutonniere.Seated at the head table were the bride and groom of 25 years ago, Pete and Milly Smerehynski (nee Nazar): bridesmaids Mrs Wally Wasuita (sister to the groom) and Mrs Mike Memryk (niece to the groom); Pete and Milly's daughter Linda; best-men Mike Smerehynski (brother to the groom) and John Bazale-vidi.Mike Smerehynski acted as master of ceremonies for the memorable event and proposed the toast to the happy couple.After a delicious supper served by Evelyn's Catering the bridal party opened the many gifts which thev had received. The bride and groom thanked everyone for coming out to help them celebrate this joyous occasion and asked everyone to be sure to drop in whenever they were holidaying inB.C.Guests attending from a distance included many from Winnipeg, Dryden, Ont.; Dugald, Pinawa. Brandon and Falcon Beach.
