Then they moved to Taber. Both are. native to Wales, from Cardiff and Mrs. Giiffm from Angelsey.Mr. Griffin came to Canada in 3.906, homesteading at Burnham near Swift Current. He served four years overseas with the 209th Battalion during the First- World War, and met nurse Margaret Elizabeth Humphreys while recuperating from wounds received at Vimy Ridge. They married following the end of the war.lie also served during the Second World with the KCAF. Their family comprises threesons Richard of Toronto, Glvn of Taber and John of Swift Current, two daughters Mrs. Myra (Ray) Evanson of Taber and Mrs. Betty (Earl) Crawford of Saskatoon, Sask. and 15 grandchildren.At 78 and 81 ywirs, both ere enjoying good health and are active in the community.Golf TourneyTheVACXHALL (HNS) -Vauxhali Golf Club will hold a jiieii's open tournament Sunday, July 26, at 9 p.m.There will be 27 holes match play and a Siorse race.Lunch will, be served by the women’s golf club.MR.
