She left Use Sandy Hook lightship July 15 at 5:56 p. in. and arrived off Daiml's Rock July 29 at 11:33 p. m. with an average rale of speed for the distance of 2*}.32 knots an hour.The Jnmes Griffith barber shop on South Main street was completely gutted by fire within a few minutes about 8 o’clock, this morning, caused by a poorly working gasoline stove. _The Dr. Stockman residence on East Fifth street was sold today to L. R. Llesonberg of Charles City, a wholesale cigar dealer who is moving his business to this city and will occupy a place of business on Fifth street.C. G.
