OLD M. E. CHURCH BUILDING BEING TORNLast Thursday, workmeU' under the direction of Thomas Beattie, commenced to take down the old M. Hi. church building to make place for the elegant new one to be built on the same site this summer. The pews are all out and yesterday they were taking off the shingles. As much as possible of the material will be used in the new edifice.The building now being toru downwas built in the year 1887. The Methodists were then using the brick school house which stood on the present site of the public library. A few met in the spriug of 1887 aud outlined plans for a new edifice. A building committee consisting of Monroe Peck, K. O. Hal! and J. T. Sargent was appointed to take charge of the enterprise. W. C. Horrobin was treasurer of the church. Kev. S. H.
