William C.Whitney $1123.—A most pleasant time was recently enjoyed at Bdeksteep Manor, the summer home of George F. Crane of New* York city. Nearly 100 invited guests were treated to s musical entertainment. interspersed with recitations which were rendered in fine sty e. Fred B. Bond, a former resident of Washington and cousin of F. D.Wius-low. did himself proud in the rendering of comic and serious productions in most approved style.Mr Bond is now engaged with a New York company ad is prominent in a Shakespearian play which it is rendering.
