Incidentally he ■ is blaming the Oakland police be-; cause, he says, they took three days ; to report to the sheriff that they had found the goods in the secondhand store of Ben Marklowitz on Seventh street.Marlowitz declares he paid $210 for the stock to a man who declared he had closed out his business andrefused to give up the goods withouta court action unless he was reimbursed. Although the replevin suitmay const him more than the $210, Hupers has taken that course in preference to paying Marklowitz the money.— —-—-—
