Viele Villagers.July 22.—Henry Judy, Sr., and wife were greeted by about eighty of their relatives and friends Sunday, July 14, in honor of their golden wedding anniversary. They have six children living, all of whom were present. All brought well-filled baskets and an excellent dinner was served. Ice cream and cake was served in the afternoon and the day was spent in social conversation, musio and gaiety. Mr. Judy was the recipient of a handsome gold-headed cane and Mrs. Judy ai#iir of gold-rimmed spectacles. They are both old settlers. He is one of the oldest pioneers in Lee county, having come here in 1883, crossing the river at Fort Madison when there were but few houses there. Those from abroad w*ere : Sherman Judy, wife and children of Salem; John Judy of Fairmont, Henrv Jndv, Jr., wife and children and Rav Dunkel of Denmark, Mrs. Kasiah Penrod of Burlington an Wm. Brown and wife of Summit ville. All left wishing them many morewedding anniversaries.
