ST. JOHN — Terry Lynn Alvis, 12, drowned Thursday evening at the St. John Municipal Swimming Pool. Born May 11,1960 at Pensacola, Fla., she had lived here with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Alvis, since the age of three months. Her mother, Carol Campbell Alvis. preceded her in death in 1960.She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the seventh grade in school at St. John.Her survivors include the parents, Mr. Ralph Edward Alvis, at sea with the U.S. Navy; and Mrs. Ralph E. Alvis of Osage City; one brother, Danny, and two sisters, Leslie and Kelley,- all of the home in Osage City; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Alvis of St. John and Mr. and Mrs. Owen Campbell, Green Castle, Ind.Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the church.
