Poe, residents of Morgantown for the past 53 years, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house, from 2-4p.m. Sunday at their home at 740 Grant Avenue.Both are members of theFirst Baptist Church, and during their 50th anniversary celebration ten years ago the couple repeated their original vows in a ceremony performed by the Rev. Raymond J. Nielsen, then pastor of the church here.Mrs. Poe was also active once in the Harmony Rebekah Lodge and Dames of Malta, and made many friends through her work at Monongalia General Hospital and the Men’s Dormitory a t West Virginia University.Mr. Poe worked on the old Sabraton street cars when the Tin Mill was in existence here. Later, he was employed at the Morgantown Hardware store, and until his retirement had a second - hand store on ChestnutStreet. He holds a 60-year pin from the Odd Fellows.The couple’s children are Mrs. D. Carl Fisher of Weaver Streetand F.denr Allen Pne of S a n*60 YEARS AGO. . .
