NEGRO KILLED WHENTRUCK OVERTURNSHorace Ross, negro, who was riding on Grayson County road truck when it overturned and rolled down a steep embankment on the old Farmington road about five miles south of Shexman at 5:30 p. m. Friday, was killed instantly in the accident. Ross resided in the negro community northwest of town for a number of years. He had been working on the county roads, having been sentenced to work out a fine of $28.50 on a charge of drunkness ina Sherman justice court July 13th, and was killed on July 17.The accident was attributed to slippery roads, the truck sliding offthe embankment while going down hill, plunging about fifteen feet.Three white men riding on the truck received minor injuries. M. G. Alexander, guard, was driving the truck.
