1940Mr. and Mrs. William RicheyMr. and Mrs. James SilentmanMr. and Mrs. James Silentman celebrated their50th wedding anniversary July 21 with a churchservice and a dinner attended by their family and more than 200 friends from throughout the western states.James (TT aashchi’i bom into Naakaii dine’e) and Nettie J., nee Manuelito (Hooghan lani bom into To’aheedlilnll) were married in Newcomb July17, 1940.Mrs. Silentman still weaves Two Grey Hills rugs. The couple is in good health and remain active as ministers, farmers and ranchers.They have seven children, Mrs. Kee (Ruby) Becenti; Henry and his wife Esther; Stewart and his wife Emily; Irene Silentman; Mrs. Eugene (Rachael) Quintana; Mrs. Fred (Julie) Bia; and Mrs. Stephen (Cecilia) Carr. There are 21 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
