A longtime Emmetsburg physician. Dr. Lowell E.O'Connor, 44, died unexpectedly Sunday morning at Rochester, Minn., after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage a few hours earlier.Emmetsburg residents and people from a wide area were saddened by the loss of one of The leading physicians of this community. Dr. O'Connor had practiced medicine and had taken an active role- in this community since 1965.Services This Wednesday Funeral services will be held this Wednesday morning from St. Thomas Catholic Church with Msgr. C. E. Farreily officiating.There will be a rosary this Tuesday evening at 8 p.m. from Martin-Balls Funeral Home.Following services here Wednesday morning Dr. O'Connor's body will be taken to his home, Dyersville, where there will be*a Rosary at TO a.m. Thursday morning. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery at Dyersville.Lowell E. O'Connor was born March 14, 1931 at Garber, Iowa, the son of Vernl and Elva (Hansel) O'Connor. He married Nancy Page at Dyersville on June 25, 1940.He Is survived by his wife and six children all at home.
