Treasures Wed50 Years Ago\GARDNER — Mr. and Mrs. Charles Treasure celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary I with an afternoon open house Sunday at their home at 407 Monroe St.Hosts were their four children, Mrs. Karl B. Lutz and ! Dale Treasure of Gardner, Mrs. Hiram Brownell, Monmouth, and Albert Treasure, Houston,| Tex. They presented the hon-| orees with an orchid corsage and boutonnier Miss Viola Watson of Brace ville and C harles Treasure were married June 22, 1919 by the Rev. Thomas Leggette at a Methodist Church in Chicago.They lived on a farm near Gardner until 1933 when they { moved into town. Treasure wasa supervisor of Garfield Township for many years and owned and operated the Treasure Elevator until his retirement Jan.I, 1966. tRefreshments were served c)buffet style. Mrs. Lutz cut thecake, Mrs. Brownell and Mrs. Dale Treasure poured coffeeand punch and Mrs. Albert ^Treasure registered guests.Honored guests were sisters v of the couple, Mrs. Alice Strout ^ and Mrs. Ernest Davy.Dinner was served that evening to 28 relatives at Jos Steak House, and a surprise j j anniversary cake was present- U ed the couple. ; j(iCnseqn
