IIIKKPROPERTY OWNERS KICKON NAME “GERMAN”ROADCHANGED BY OFFICIALSOn petition of property owners and residents on German road, in Springfield Township, the County Commissioners adopted a resolution changing the name of the road to “Daly road.” The petitioners stated they desired the name changed to suit them because ‘•German’' road is not suitable any more. . ^All bids for coal for one year were rejected because the lowest one received is $6.45, as against $2.94 for coal last year. The board will buy coal for its needs in the open market until it receives a suitable bid..The resignation of Lewis Haft as an attendant at the County Infirmary to enter the United States army was accepted.The Cincinnati Automobile Club sent acommunication to the board reporting that it has received many complaints in regard to thfe oiling of the pike leading to Loveland. Surveyor Boeh was instructed to Inspect and report.Auditor Durr reported that the total bonded debt of Hamilton County, July 1, aggregated $4,564,813;The firms of Hinkle Sullivan and Scully Bros, were the -only bidders for improvement of the Cinclnnatl-Hamilton pike, from North Bend road to Mt. Healthy north corporation line. The estimated cost was $161,969, and the bid of Scully Bros., it is said, appears to be lowest and below this estimate.T. D. Van Camp's bid of $6,375 for improvement of Cliff road was accepted, also his bid of $696 for repair of the bridge on Muchmore road. Plans and specifications for resurfacing of Mt.
