HoutsDr. and Mrs. Earl Houts of Slippery Hock celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house at Slippery Rock United Methodist Church.The couple was married March 24, 1940, in the parsonage of the United Methodist Church, Mount Pulaski, 111. The bride's father, the Rev. F.E. Neumeyer, officiated.Dr. Houts is a retired professor of psychology. He is a member of the Slippery Rock Camera Club and serves as adviser for the Bartramian Audubon Society. He is also photographer for the Green Leaf Press and on the research board of advisers for the• American Biographical Institute.As assistant state director of 'the American Association of Re-• tired Persons, Dr. Houts has ‘served chapters in western Pennsylvania. With Dr. Houts as Photographer and Mrs. Houts as ‘sound recorder, they have made ‘slide shows for the elderly and •school students.1 Mrs. Houts is a retired teacher. ;She belongs to the AARP and the •Bartramian Audubon Society. In I addition, she volunteers at the ‘Slippery Rock Senior Center.Dr. and Mrs. HoutsBoth are members of Slippery Rock United Methodist Church.They are the parents of Carol Ann Mansh of Dresher, Pa., and Jamie Walter of Grove City. Three grandchildren complete the family.
