William Herbert Hecht became pastor of Faith Lutheran churcn.He was bom September 13, 1933. in Tifton, Georgia, the son of Mr. and .Mrs. H. W. Hecht. After attending Tifton high school, he enrolled at Alabama Polytechnic Institute in Auburn, Alabama. He then entered Concordia College. Ft. Wayne, Indiana. graduating with an A. A. degree.He went on to Concordia Theological Seminary, St. Louis, Mo., receiving his B. A. degreeand graduating with a B. D. derree in June of this year.He spent his vicarage at Houston, Texas, serving as an assistant at St. Matthew Lutheran church and heading the Lutheran student work at th# University of Houston and Rice Institute.This summer he is attending Washington University in St. Louis, preparing for his master’s degree.On July 21 he will be married to Susan Elizabeth Vogt of Houston.
