Her sisters are Mrs. Ilarry Emhuff and Mrs. Fred Stabb, and her brothers are Fd-ward Mellenkamp, Albert Mellen-kamp and Walter Mellenkamp. Another special guest was Miss Carrie Massman, who was Mrs. Herkamp's only attendant at her wedding 50 years ago.Special prayer was offered by the Rev. Victor A. Mack, pastorAt noon dinner was served to 32 persons. Including the guests of honor and members of the immediate families, and the Rev Mack, Mrs. Mack and children, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Mellenkamp. West Oak street only four doors from the Hcrkamps' home.The llerkamp* were married in the Mellenkamp home, Mrs. Herkamp's home place, 50 years ago on July 17, by the Rev. Philip Schmidt, pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church.Following the dinner the group went to the llerkamp homo at 704West Oak street f«»r an open house at which Mr and Mrs. Heikamp received nearly 200 callers. Lovely gifts, flowers and rftrds and calls honored them throughout the day.Beneath the punch bowl was a lac v cloth over 50 years old. Golden rosebuds decorated the large wedding cake served with the punch.Mrs llerkamp and Miss Massman wore corsages in observance of the event.Martha llerkamp registered the guests, and Nonna Jean Heikamp and Ruth Rueter were at the punch bowl. Imightcrs-ln-laW of the couple assisted with the hospitalities. and their sisters-in-law served the evening luncheon.A ntii versing forks were presented as favors to the guests.Mrs. llerkamp is a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League, and Mr. llerkamp is a member «*f the Lutheran Social Aid Society.
